Team Lead with Hands On PHP, JavaScript & SysAdmin skills

To be considered for the role you need to:

  • Be a tech-head with a strong command of both PHP and JavaScript as well as a solid-comprehension of the factors that effect performance, scalability, maintainability, security, etc
  • Have Project Management skills and previous experience managing development team
  • Be able to take workflow-style specs from our product-team and efficiently distribute it as tech-task assignments for your developers.
  • Experience with project-scope management tools like Trac, Jira, FogBugz or PivotalTracker
  • Have a base-competency in Linux system administration
  • You must be within a commutable-distance of NYC or planning to relocate to NY in the near-future.

Skills that will make you stand out as a candidate, but are not required:

  • Managed a team at a consumer-facing Internet startup
  • Experience with viral crowdsourcing and/or social networking
  • Advocate of coding standards (OO, MVC, naming conventions, XHTML, PHP coding-standards, etc.) and best-practices like DRY, KISS and coding to E_STRICT validity
  • Agile experience as a Scrum-Master or traditional PM with PMP certification
