Creating & Styling Outfits
How do I create an outfit?
Click “Create” at the top of this page. The canvas will appear on the left, and you can use the “Store” box on the right to search and find items with which to style your outfits. Drag and drop items on the canvas to begin creating outfits or click on items and outfits to get more information on particular items. Now, what are you waiting for? Happy styling awaits!
How do I start a new search?
Click the New Search button on the right of the canvas.
What do the three options (All, My Closet, My Friends) to the right of the canvas mean?
Clicking My Closet button filters the search so you only see items and outfits in your closet (including outfits you've created, other people's outfits you added as Favorites, and items you've added to your Favorites). Clicking My Friends filters the search so you only see outfits created by your Friends and the people you Follow as well as their Favorite Items. If you don't click anything and just leave it on All, it'll search the entire store.
How do I delete an item on the canvas?
On the left of the canvas, there is a column where all the items on your canvas appear as small thumbnails. When you hover over an item, you will see an "X" next to its thumbnail. Click the "X" to delete an item.
How do I delete an outfit?
If you are working on an unsaved outfit and want to start over, simply click the "New Outfit" button on the left of the canvas. If you want to delete an existing outfit, click "Edit this Outfit," which will send you to the canvas. Once you are on the canvas and you see the outfit you want to delete on it, click the "Delete Outfit" button on the left of the canvas.
How do I move one item on top of another?
On the left of the canvas, there is a column where all the items on your canvas appear as small thumbnails. Drag and drop these thumbnails until you are happy with the arrangement of the items.
How do I save an outfit?
Click the Save My Outfit button to the left of the canvas.
How do I save something to my Favorite Items?
Anytime you are viewing information about an item, look for a button that says "Add to Favorites." If you want to find that item in the future, it'll be saved in the My Closet section of your profile.
How do I save an outfit to my Favorite Outfits?
Anytime you are viewing information about an outfit, look for a button that says "Add to Favorites." If you want to find that outfit in the future, it'll be saved in the My Closet section of your profile.
What does the number inside the red heart mean?
The number inside the heart means that that number of people have added that item or outfit to their Favorites. Popular items and outfits are the ones with the highest number of favorites.
How do I add an item to my Wishlist?
When you are viewing the information for an item, under the name of the item and the brand there is a link that reads "add to wishlist."
Can I delete an item from my Wishlist?
Yes. To remove an item from your wish list, go to your Profile. Click on the item that you want to remove. Under the name of the item and the brand there is a link that reads "remove from your wishlist."
Can I save an outfit as a draft?
Not yet, but we are working on it!
Friends & other PlumWillow members
How do I find my friends on PW?
The homepage and your Profile automatically shows all of your friends from Facebook who use PlumWillow. These Facebook friends and their activity on PlumWillow automatically will show up in the Friends' Activity section on the homepage.
How do I keep track of a PlumWillow member I like who is not my Facebook friend?
You can keep track of members whose style you love by "Following" them on Plumwillow. Click on the member's picture or name to view their Profile. Under their profile, you'll see a button that reads "Follow this Member." Just click it and you'll see them in your profile under People I Follow and their activity will appear on the homepage in the Friends' Activity section.
How do I "Unfollow" someone?
Go to your Profile and click on the photo or name of the member whom you do not want to follow anymore. Under their name and photo in their Profile, you should see a button that reads "Unfollow."
What does it mean that other members are "Following" me?
It means that a member who is not your Facebook friend loves your style and wants to keep track of your new outfits and other activity on PlumWillow. You don't have to "Follow" them back unless you want to!
Account & Technical Issues
How do I change my profile picture on PlumWillow?
Your profile picture on PlumWillow is the same as your Facebook picture. If you log in to Facebook and change your profile picture, you will see the new picture on PlumWillow immediately.
